Tropical Sunrise Passionfruit Orange (Print)

Vibrant layered passionfruit, orange and pineapple juices finished with grenadine for a colorful sunrise.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit Juices

01 - 1/2 cup passionfruit juice, fresh or bottled
02 - 3/4 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed preferred
03 - 1/4 cup pineapple juice

→ Sweetener

04 - 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup

→ Garnish & Extras

05 - Ice cubes
06 - Orange slices, for garnish
07 - Fresh mint sprigs (optional)
08 - Passionfruit pulp (optional), for texture

# Directions:

01 - Select two tall glasses and fill each with ice cubes until three-quarters full to chill and support the layered presentation.
02 - Divide the juices between the two glasses: pour 1/4 cup passionfruit juice into each glass, then add 3/8 cup orange juice to each, followed by 2 tablespoons pineapple juice per glass, pouring gently to maintain separation.
03 - Slowly drizzle 1/2 tablespoon grenadine syrup down the inside edge of each glass; allow the syrup to sink and slowly rise to produce the sunrise gradient.
04 - Top each glass with an orange slice and, if desired, a mint sprig and a small spoonful of passionfruit pulp for texture and visual appeal.
05 - Serve immediately without stirring to preserve the layered effect; provide a long spoon or straw if guests wish to mix.

# Helpful Hints:

01 -
  • The sunrise effect never fails to dazzle, and it tastes as magical as it looks.
  • It comes together in minutes with whatever fresh juice you can manage—perfect for impromptu get-togethers or solo treats.
02 -
  • If you add the grenadine too fast or over the top, it clouds the layers instead of creating that sunrise—go slow along the edge.
  • Chilling everything ahead stops the ice from melting too soon, which keeps your colors crisp and the drink cold but not watery.
03 -
  • A bar spoon makes swirling grenadine much easier and less messy—practice your pouring on a glass of water first if you're nervous.
  • Try chilling your grenadine too; it sinks even more gracefully and makes for super crisp layers.
