# Directions:

01 - Set the oven to 350°F to prepare for baking.
02 - In an ovenproof skillet or baking dish, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat; add brown sugar and maple syrup, stirring until dissolved and bubbling, approximately 2 minutes.
03 - Add the sliced pears to the skillet; sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, toss gently, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until pears soften and caramelize, stirring occasionally.
04 - Stir in walnut halves and pure vanilla extract to combine evenly.
05 - Transfer the skillet or pour the mixture into a baking dish, then bake for 18 to 20 minutes until pears are tender and walnuts toasted.
06 - Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with optional Greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream.
